It was abt 10 in the nite, i was driving back home..took some short cuts thru small lanes..suddenly something made me realise that i was driving in the route very familiar to me..the same lane which we had measured each length n breadth of..yup!!it was the same lane were we friends used to drive abt 4 yrs back..those were the days were the CA exams were the only thing we used to worry about..those were the days were we used to spend more time on the road driving with friends, chit chat for long hours, buy a single cup of tea n share with half a dozen ppl..pool everyone’s small pocket money to get a gift for someone spl..bunk college to see the first show of a movie..come home late night..go to a mall pick up a shirt only to find tat u don’t hav much money..keep it back saying “its too cheap for me!!!!”..
Happened to see a hotel on the way..it was the same one where we used to have our quick bite in the half an hr break we get in between classes still ending up going late to class, still not missing any topic since we wil b having the prof by our side in the hotel..the sambar idlis, mini coffees that we had..missing all those..just stopped by the road side too see the flashback that flashed in front of my eyes..
Missing all those days now..now a days we are hardly getting time to hav a small bite for breakfast, and lunch goes in at the tea time..we tend to miss small but big happiness for the sake of other smaller things in life..we miss to call up friends, take a walk by the beach enjoying the waves, seeing the kids play..we feel we are too grown up to build a house of sand, to fly a kite, to run along the shore, we take a ride on the so called giant wheel...we tend to miss all these small but BIG things.. life has become like this..rather we have made our life like this..what to say??what to do???
